Assignment : 2 hours a day 2 days a week
Requirements :
High School diploma or GEDMeets NCLB definition of highly qualified requirements :A two-year Associate degree72-quarter or 48-semester college credits, orA passing score of 461 on the ETS Para Pro AssessmentWSP / FBI fingerprint background clearance (fee paid by the employee).Responsibilities :
Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students are treated with dignity and respect.Assist in implementing enrichment activities designed to challenge and engage highly capable students.Support students with independent and group projects , providing guidance and encouragement.Foster an inclusive and respectful environment that values diverse perspectives and learning styles.Supervise students during program activities, transitions, and after-school hours to ensure safety and engagement.Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving through inquiry-based learning opportunities.Monitor and support students' social-emotional development , helping them navigate peer interactions and self-regulation.Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to support student learning and program goals.Provide individualized support to help students explore their interests and deepen their understanding of advanced concepts.Assist with classroom management by reinforcing expectations and promoting positive behaviors.Collaborate with teachers and program staff to align activities with student needs and abilities.Ensure student safety and well-being by following supervision protocols and emergency procedures.Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards in all interactions.Application Process :
