Job Summary
The Medical Scribe and Coding Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records for errors and to accurately assign codes for diagnoses and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Review medical records for errors and communicate chart review findings with scribes for correction.
-Assign appropriate ICD-10 codes to patient records
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with all coding guidelines and regulations
- Work closely with Clinical Team Lead to resolve any coding issues
- Ensure timely completion of medical documentation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations
- Assist in the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Retina experience preferred
-Proficiency in medical coding systems and software, medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Strong understanding of ICD-10, ICD-9 and other coding systems
- Certification in medical coding is preferred but not required
- Ability to accurately type and transcribe medical information
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
