The Artesian Home is a skilled nursing, long-term care and rehabilitation facility located in the beautiful community of Sulphur, Oklahoma. We provide rehabilitation services and around the clock skilled care in a comfortable and friendly environment. Our facility is actively seeking compassionate LPN/RN Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Control team member. You will work under the supervision of The Director of Nursing or doctor. LPN/RN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it. The ADON will assist Director of Nursing with staffing coordination, scheduling and clinical reporting for quality measures. Rotating call required. Benefits available after employed 60 days. The ADON/IP is responsible for the implementation and review of the facility’s infection prevention program. The IP ensures that existing standards and guidelines of applicable professional organizations and regulatory and governmental agencies are incorporated into the program. The IP reviews relevant public health issues to integrate into practice, serves as a consultant and resource person regarding infection prevention issues for all facility personnel, collaborates with other healthcare professionals within and outside of the facility, and implements infection prevention education programs. The IP systematically collects and analyzes healthcare-associated infection data using epidemiological principles and statistical methods to identify trends and risk factors. Additionally, it is often the responsibility of the IP to perform the reporting of HAI and quality data for the various facility, county, state, and federal reporting requirements. The IP incorporates the principles of fiscal responsibility into practice and promotes the standards of advanced professional practice.
Responsibilities:
- Record a resident’s medical history accurately
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc. Observe residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Monitor residents’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
- Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
- Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
- Communicate with residents’ family or friends
- Preform COVID testing to all staff members weekly
Skills:
- Proven experience as LPN/RN or similar role
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with state health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices · Excellent knowledge of medical
