Elmcrest Childrens Center has immediate openings for Part-Time (potential to move into Full-Time) direct service professionals (DSPs), to provide services to children and their families in a variety of community-based settings in the following Counties:
Onondaga, Oswego, Cortland, Broome, Cayuga, Tompkins, Tioga, Oneida, Herkimer, Lewis, Madison and Chenango.
Under NYSs Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS), you will be responsible for supporting individuals with mental health needs to pursue individualized goals in a variety of services. Among the providers responsibilities are:
Assisting in creating a safe and secure environment;
Transporting/accompanying individuals to places within the community; and/or telehealth services as COVID regulations allow;
Contributing ideas for improving the experiences of individuals in the program, including planning appropriate activities;
Being flexible around the needs of the child and/or family;
Completing daily documentation of services provided;
Working collaboratively with family members and other professionals involved in the individuals care; and
Maintaining compliance with all required training.
Preference given to candidates with experience working with: childrens mental health, addiction, foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice, children with medical/health needs, or children with developmental disabilities.'
**This position is unique in terms of compensation. Bi-weekly performance based bonuses are available to those who qualify. This opportunity can be discussed during the interview process.
A Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience
A Masters degree
