What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Custodian/Maintenance position at Elmer's County Market?
The part-time custodian/maintenance person is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties to ensure the facility is maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. Scheduling to include days, afternoons and weekends. Approximately 24-28 hours per week. Must be self-motivated, able to work in a team or independently. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Employee must possess sufficient physical strength and ability to perform a variety of janitorial tasks related to the care and maintenance of building and equipment.
General Description of Job:
- Maintains custodial area in a clean & neat manner
- Sweeps, mop, scrubs & vacuums floors using cleaning solutions, tools & equipment
- Gathers and empties trash
- Cleans & maintains bathrooms
- Cleans & maintains offices, breakroom and other departments
- Cleans windows, doors and building fixtures
- Performs other duties as assigned
