CNC/Lathe Operator
A growing manufacturing company in Sterling Heights, Michigan is seeking a candidate for our expanding CNC machining department. Our facility specializes in short-run sheet metal stampings.
This position is for an experienced person.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate CNC mills, including editing of speeds, feed rates and offsets.
- Assists and maintains routine maintenance of machines and related tooling.
- Must be able to interpret blueprints in metric or inch.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with G & M codes
- Minimum experience of 2 years in CNC set-up and 3 Years of CNC machining & Lathe operating.
- Detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Committed to the completion of projects and tasks in a timely matter.
- Analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Must have own tools including toolbox, micrometers, indicators, calipers.
- Must be able to lead and train less skilled people.
Additional Requirements:
- WorkNC 2.5, 3 Axis Programing experience and modern metal removal methods
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Haas and Siemens CNC Controls
- Experience cutting various types of material: steel, zinc alloy (kirksite), aluminum, wood and renboard.
- WorkNC, 5 axis and 3 2 programing a plus
- Manual programing for Haas Lathe
- EZ-CAM for Lathe Programming
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
