.6 FTE Social Worker

We are currently seeking a caring and collaborative School Social Worker to join our team in a .6 FTE split position, serving both a Transition Center and an Elementary School. This role provides an exciting opportunity to support students across a wide developmental spectrum—from elementary age through young adulthood. We strongly prefer bilingual (Spanish-English) candidates, as many of our families are Spanish-speaking and benefit from culturally and linguistically responsive services.

Position Overview:
This position is scheduled for three days per week, with time split between the Transition Center (2 days per week) and the Elementary School (1 day or two half days). The School Social Worker will provide direct services, consultation, and advocacy to support student success, family engagement, and positive school climates.

Key Responsibilities:
Transition Center (Young Adults with IEPs):

• Conduct social-developmental assessments and contribute to IEP teams.
• Support students with counseling, community resource connections, and vocational/life-skills development
• Collaborate with staff and families to promote successful transitions to adult living

Emerson Elementary School (Grades K–5):

• Provide individual and small group counseling for students with social-emotional or behavioral needs
• Support crisis response and collaborate with staff to implement behavior intervention strategies
• Engage with families and connect them to local resources and supports
• Participate in MTSS teams and contribute to school-wide social-emotional initiatives

Work Schedule & Environment:

• .6 FTE during the school-year; schedule to be coordinated with both building teams
