What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Staff position at Elmhurst Park District?

We are now hiring for EVENT STAFF! This is a part-time position.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: Event Staff are instrumental in the execution of Elmhurst Park District community-wide events. Event staff are responsible for helping with event set up and take down, assisting with games and activities, and customer service during the event. This position is perfect for those interested in getting involved in the community!
WHAT YOU’LL BRING: Some high school education with 1 year customer service experience preferred.
WHEN YOU’LL WORK:
- Various days and times, 3-10 hours per month on average, based on event schedule.
- You'll work at any of the following community events scheduled for 2025:
- Adult Egg Hunt: Saturday, March 15
- Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt: Thursday, April 17
- Egg Hunt & Doggie Eggstravaganza: Saturday, April 19
- Art in Wilder Park: Saturday, May 3 - Sunday, May 4
- Move in the Park: Friday, June 13
- Eldridge Adventure Day: Sunday, June 22
- Party in the Park: Wednesday, June 25
- Party in the Park: Wednesday, July 9
- Move in the Park: Friday, July 11
- Bags, Brew, & BBQ: Saturday, July 19
- Party in the Park: Wednesday, July 23
- Movie in the Park: Friday, August 8
- Park Palooza: Saturday, August 16
- Touch-A-Truck: Saturday, September 6
- Family Fall Fest: Saturday, October 4
- Tree Lighting at Wilder Park: Thursday, December 4
WHAT YOU’LL GET:
- The anticipated starting pay for this position is $15.00/hour.
- This position falls under Pay Grade E with a pay range of $14.00 - $19.00.
