Job Summary | The Hawkins Program Grant Project Director provides leadership, oversight and coordination of a U.S. Department of Education (USDE) funded five-year grant (2024-2029) to increase the number of well-prepared bilingual education teachers by focusing on improving the preparation, recruitment, retention, and placement of such teachers in collaboration with neighboring Hispanic Serving School Districts (HSSD). The project director will manage and coordinate all activity development and implementation, monitor objectives, manage evaluation, and ensure compliance and federally regulated reporting. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to handle prioritize workloads, read and interpret departmental policies, procedures and instructions, and follow instructions from leadership. Effective, cooperative relationships must exist with supervisors, administration, faculty, support staff, and constituents from the community. Functioning in this role is related to university goals and mission attainment. |
Salary Range | $63,000 - $68,000. This is the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary offered will depend on a candidate's experience and education, and departmental budget. |

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements | Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions.
