POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs a variety of professional level accounting duties such as preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling complex financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. This position is also responsible for maintaining the accuracy of ledgers and financial systems as well as assisting in the preparation of assigned budgets, annual audit, and year end closing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares monthly financial forecasts for cash distibutions, tax liabilities, and investment performance
- Coordinate preparation of quarterly real estate owned schedules and personal financial statements for shareholders
- Deliver financial reports in compliance with lender and equity requirements
- Oversee day to day operations of family office accounting functions including, but not limited to distribution review, cash analysis, treasury management, and bookkeeping for all related entities and trusts
- Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other reports related to related entities and trusts.
- Supervise annual reporting process for 300 related entities including, but not limited to annual state filings, state tax returns, certificate of existence, and other reports required by various agencies
- Prepares monthly treasury reports to provide visibility into global deposit relationship with various financial institutions
- Guides accounting and clerical staff by coordinating learning activities, providing coaching feedback, and development opportunities
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls
- Create process narratives and reporting checklist related to all financial reporting, family office functions, and treasury management operations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
- Performs other duties as assigned
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA certification preferred, but not required
- 3-5 years of accounting experience; 1-2 years of supervision experience
