The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for overall estimate completeness, accuracy and control of project budget.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Understanding OSHA Compliant Construction Activities and enforcing compliant actions of workers and subcontractors; bottom line, keep our project and its workers SAFE.
- Must have experience in general contracting (concrete, steel erection, light gage metal framing, interior & exterior finishes, and MEPF systems)
- Knowledge, Management, and occasional installation of Rough Carpentry including:
- Layout of Foundations & Walls- Square
- Decks
- Wood Blocking
- Setting Frames, Doors, & Windows
- Installation of Hardware
- Installing Wood Guard Rails for safety
- Minor Formwork for concrete installation
- Labor Work as Needed
- Clean Up & Breakdown
- Installation of Misc. Accessories
- Some minor demolition
- Be able to lead by example when necessary.
- Review builder packages and cut sheets
- Monitor & pre-approve variances in cost/schedule.
- Pre-approve weekly bills/material tickets for assigned projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects or manage labor crews
- Scheduling and directing the daily activities of work and taking necessary action to assure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality and process are met
- Maintaining daily paperwork such as timecards, weekly field reports, schedule updates and E-mail correspondence to keep the various people involved with the project informed of important issues
- Work with City Codes and Fire Marshall Officials, and comply with regulations; Ensuring that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards and up to code
- Manage multiple subcontractors' activities
- Order and procure material, tools, dumpsters, fencing, water, cups, construction toilets, etc. needed to insure proper flow and safety of the construction site.
- Read Construction Plans and Specifications, update and redline As-built with changes.
- Read and Manage a Construction Schedule
- Super intense assistance

- Able to lift 60 lbs without assistance
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma (or GED / High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 3 years' experience as an assistant superintendent with a minimum of 5 years of total construction experience
