Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics, hospitals, and trauma centers. This position requires a commitment to supporting patients through their healthcare journey, particularly in geriatrics, medical-surgical, outpatient, and inpatient environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide support in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient care areas.
- Assist with the transportation of patients within the facility as needed.
- Support medical staff during procedures and examinations in various departments including PICU and trauma centers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred; familiarity with geriatrics is a plus.
- Knowledge of hospital medicine practices is beneficial for this role.
- Ability to work effectively in both Level I and Level II Trauma Centers.
- Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology related to patient care is advantageous.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $13.50 - $16.56 per hour
