Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients presenting with various medical conditions.
- Perform gastric lavage as needed for specific cases, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Administer injections and medications as prescribed, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
- Engage in diagnostic evaluations to determine the appropriate course of treatment for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a teaching hospital setting to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including MDS documentation, to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay updated on best practices in hospital medicine and outpatient care to enhance patient outcomes.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Proven experience in an emergency room or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and the ability to apply this knowledge in clinical practice.
- Experience with diagnostic evaluation techniques and familiarity with MDS documentation is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education and teamwork.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities effectively.
