The Associate Dean of Graduate Nursing and Assistant / Associate Professor in Nursing will provide overall administrative and academic responsibilities for the Graduate Nursing Programs at Elms College School of Nursing. This 12-month position requires teaching, interaction with, and support of current and prospective students, faculty, administrators, student workers, and other healthcare community members. The Associate Dean will serve as a key representative of the Nursing Graduate Programs for on and off-campus events and help maintain contact and communication with school and community partners. The Associate Dean will report to the Dean of the School of Nursing.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
The Associate Dean will supervise all faculty (Full-time, part-time, and adjunct) in the Graduate Programs at Elms College School of Nursing.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Provides leadership and oversight for the planning, development, and implementation of the MSN / DNP in Nursing program.
Supervises the Coordinators of the AGACNP and FNP Programs
Schedules annual academic offerings for the program tracks to ensure quality of curriculum delivery and compliance with College policies and requirements of external agencies.Performs a significant role in curriculum development, review, and enhancement through collaboration / participation with the School of Nursing (SON) and College Graduate Curriculum CommitteesDevelops and implements current evaluation of program tracks by ensuring that all evaluation and assessment data are collected as scheduled and analyzed with data outcomes shared with appropriate SON committees and the faculty.Develops and implements program evaluation with the Dean, SON Program Directors, and the nursing faculty.Assists the Dean and the Associate Dean of the Undergraduate Program with accreditation reports and other Generates data for program approval, evaluation, and accreditation.Provides a liaison function to the Dean in managing resources with the graduate nursing Responsible and accountable for collaborating with the Dean in the budget development and management of assigned cost centers.Responsible for significant contribution and participation in recruiting students for assigned program tracks in collaboration with appropriate SON staff.Provides academic advisement and conflict resolution for MSN / DNP nursing majors, as appropriate.Collaborates with SON staff in maintaining and managing record systems and computerized tracking of all graduate nursing studentsIn collaboration with the Dean, this position is responsible for staffing the graduate nursing tracks by projecting faculty and staffing needs, recruiting appropriately credentialed adjunct faculty, and communicating with the Director of Operations regarding the appointment of adjunct faculty and orientation of new adjunct faculty.Participates in faculty workload assignments in collaboration with SON Program Directors and Dean.Has teaching responsibilities for up to one course perReview annual DNP and MSN enrollments and enrollment projections as part of the annual personnel performance review process.Serves as a designee representing the Dean as Assumes responsibility for oversight to the SON in the Dean's absence.Actively participates in scholarly activities and professional services, as required of the College faculty community members.Completes other assignments at the request of theRequired Skills / Abilities :

The candidate must hold a doctoral degree in nursing (PhD, DNP, D, D.Ed.) and have experience with teaching and administration duties.Minimum three (3) years-experience as a graduate nursing faculty The ideal candidate should be an Associate / Full Professor with tenure.Physical Requirements :
