Elmwood Dental Group is seeking a motivated and dedicated Dental Assistant/Lab Technician to join our team! This is a unique dual-role opportunity, ideal for someone eager to expand their skills and make a meaningful contribution to both patient care and behind the scenes operations.
Position Summary
As a Dental Assistant/Lab Technician, you'll split your time between clinical patient care and supporting our in-house dental laboratory. If you have dental assistant experience and are enthusiastic about learning lab work, we are willing to provide training!
Primary Responsibilities:
Dental Assistant (50%)
- Assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Taking and developing X-rays.
- Educating patients on oral health and post-treatment care.
Lab Technician Duties (50%)
- Fabricating dental appliances such as immediate implant provisionals, case articulation, denture set-up, repairs, night guards and retainers.
- Maintaining a clean and organized lab space
- Monitor case scheduling and shipping and receiving to ensure timely and efficient patient care
- Ensuring quality control and accurate record-keeping for lab orders.
- Collaborating with the dental team to meet patient needs.
Education and Experience
- At least one year of dental assisting experience, required
- At least one year of lab experience, preferred
- CPR Certification or willingness to obtain, required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
