Reports to: Guest Services Management Team
Summary of Responsibilities:
This individual is responsible for operating the Zoo’s concessions, including food and bar service. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and during school breaks. Schedule varies and is dependent on the Zoo’s event calendar, weather, and guest attendance. Due to the nature of the position, the majority of shifts will be on weekends.
EPZ Team Member Responsibilities
- To uphold the Zoo’s mission of fostering an appreciation of wildlife and the environment that will inspire active participation in conservation.
- Have knowledge and understanding of all Zoo policies and procedures.
- Assist Management in ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all areas of the Zoo’s operation.
- Ability to interact and communicate cordially with the public.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate Zoo concessions, including food and bar services.
- Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Manage cash sales on a daily basis.
- Set up, operate, and breakdown event bars in accordance with instructions provided by Guest Services Management.
- Enforce alcohol management practices.
- Provide excellent service to all guests in accordance with the Zoo’s standards.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays and during school breaks.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Prior food service and/or bartending experience required.
- Cordial and personable demeanor.
- Comfortability working under pressure and with large crowds.
- Proactive and capable of working effectively with minimal direction.
- Comfortability working in a team, and helping others.
- Meets the needs and expectations of the role, as per business needs.
Education and Experience
- Prior food service and/or bartending experience required. Cash handling experience is preferred.
Pay and Identification
Identification: Two forms of valid ID are required. Ability to pass background and child abuse clearances.
Compensation: $15.00/hour
