What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afterschool/Holiday Respite/Summer Camp Respite Supervisor (Full Time) position at Elmy's Special Services, Inc?
Works independently to develop, operate and maintain an after school, holiday respite and summer camp program to the standards set by the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities. Program Supervisor is responsible to develop and implement a curriculum and maintain an environment that is safe, appropriate and meets the individual needs of the children enrolled in the program. Responsible for the direct supervision of all children enrolled in the after school program as well as the direct supervision of all staff members including any volunteers or interns. Facilitates and maintains program organization through appropriate and accurate record keeping and reporting requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure that all consumers report to their scheduled activity for the day and arrive on time.
- Develop a working relationship with all individuals’ work site.
- Attend all supervisory Meetings/training
- Recreational activity planning
- Record and report all issues accordingly to supervisor.
- Pre-plan all activities and submit to supervisor.
- Ensure that all consumers are actively engaged at all times.
- Work with certified teacher to develop lesson plans to ensure that program continues to be educational.
- Insure lesson plan is implemented as per lesson plans
- Work with the families to ensure that they are informed about their child progress daily. Should be documented in the communication book.'
After-School runs from September to June
Holiday Respite runs when school is closed on certain holidays 7am to 5pm
Summer Camp runs the month of July and August Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
