What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waste Technician III position at ELOS, an Aventia Company?
ELOS Environmental, an Aventia Company, is seeking a Waste Technician for our Waste Management Services Department within the Chalmette Refinery. A drug screening will be required for this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Support ELOS’ Waste Management Team within the Chalmette Refinery
- Operating a forklift throughout the refinery to assist in the disposal of waste
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required
- Must have experience with operating a forklift
- Must have strong communication skills (in person and via radio and phone)
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as necessary
- Must be capable of completing daily and weekly assignments on schedule
- Must be able to pass a drug screening prior to and during employment (subject to random drug testing)
- Ability to transition from one assignment to another on short notice
- Must have a positive working attitude
- Willing to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
