As a member of the ElringKlinger Texas Team, the Quality Manager work with the Management Team to execute work in a safe, reliable, cost efficient, and environmentally responsible manner to achieve location and company goals.
- Disciplinary manager of the employees
- Responsible for budget planning and tracking in the assigned area
- Responsible for target deployment according to EK ScoreCard in the assigned area
- Responsible for the implementation and further development of the quality, environmental and occupational safety management system (in accordance with IATF 1694 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / 45001 / 50001) and introduction of the central processes in coordination with the CU
- Responsible for documenting the quality management measures for pre-series (flowchart, FMEA, inspection plan, inspection reports) and production (work instructions, lists of limit samples, etc.)
- Assisting APQP Project Management with new products
- Planning and coordinating measures arising from internal audits and documenting them
- Ensuring that quality standards at the plant are complied with and managed
- Developing and deriving measures to take in response to deviations from quality, sustainability and performance KPIs
- Developing and carrying out programmes to improve the quality of products and processes
- Coordinating, and if applicable carrying out, all internal and external audits looking at quality and environmental aspects
- Assisting the plant in the case of any quality problems (e.g. PDCA analysis, 5-Why, Ishikawa)
- Carrying out supplier audits in coordination with Supplier Management, and assisting with local supplier projects
- Coordinating the Continuous Improvement Process and quality campaigns
- Standardising processes in coordination with the BU / CU
- Responsible for managing Complaints Management (SAP Q1), incl. the associated central reporting
- Responsible for maintaining the customer quality portals (online), incl. the associated documentation
- Holding internal training sessions on quality and sustainability matters
- Helping to manage programmes and define measurement methods
- Responsible for blocking and approving products and processes in the event of any deviations, incl. documenting these steps
- Responsible for the goods receipt inspection to check quality aspects (as per the SAP QM inspection plan)
- Participating in waste management in coordination with Facility Management
- Responsible for implementing a data protection and IT security management system
