About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Stamping Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating stamping machines to produce metal parts according to specifications. The operator will ensure the quality of the products while maintaining a safe an efficient work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Setup and operate stamping machines to produce parts in accordance with production schedules and specifications
- Monitor machine operations and adjust, as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling and production parameters for enhanced efficiency
- Perform machine setup and changeovers per production requirements.
- Identify and report any machine downtime
- Insert material into/remove them from the systems
- Ensure the use of 5S methodology at the workstation
- Work through cleaning and inspection plans
- Perform the machining steps set out in the work plan
- Complete defined quality checks
- Use individual systems and/or implement multi-system operation
- Start and restart systems, as per the documentation or specifications
- Fix temporary machine interruptions that fall within the defined responsibility
- Escalate technical problems in line with the defined escalation matrix
- Carryout set-up processes
- Other duties, as assigned.
About You:
- 1-3 years’ experience as a stamping operator in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with mechanical systems and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40-50 lbs.
