Medical Billing & General Accountant

Els for Autism Foundation based in Jupiter Florida envisions a world of limitless possibilities for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.

This full time salaried onsite position is responsible for working closely with external medical billing companies to ensure insurance bills are processed and reconciled. Also involved in accounts receivable and general accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

Record receivables across multiple merchants including Square, Stripe and Donor Perfect

Process weekly account payable invoices and generate checks

Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules

Assist with private pay billing for program services

Work directly with medical billing companies, clients and internal service providers to determine benefits, ensure accuracy of claim submissions. Track denied claims and resubmissions as required

Enter charges, payments and journal entries into QuickBooks

Work Environment:

• This job is Monday-Friday
• Office work is completed on campus and includes working in a shared office space.

Qualifications:

• Experience in medical insurance billing software, coding and software
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in general accounting, accounts receivable and payable
• Demonstrated time management, communication and teaming abilities
• Expertise in QuickBooks, Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• Knowledge of medical insurance billing specific to autism and related therapies
• Knowledge of Central Reach
