The Role
As a Chief Estimator , you’ll be at the forefront of cost strategy and bid execution , managing a team of estimators while working closely with executives to shape the company’s financial success. Key Responsibilities :
- Lead & Mentor – Manage and develop a team of estimators, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Strategic Estimating – Oversee cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects, optimizing budgets and proposals.
- Risk & Cost Analysis – Identify potential cost risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Market Expertise – Stay ahead of pricing trends, labor costs, and industry shifts.
- Client & Vendor Relations – Foster strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Process Improvement – Implement best practices to streamline estimating workflows and enhance bid accuracy.
What You Bring :
10 years of experience in estimating, with at least 3 years in a leadership role .
Strong background in commercial and industrial construction estimating .
Expertise in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, or Bluebeam).
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
A strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex data and optimize bid strategies .
