Position Summary
As a Heavy Civil Estimator you'll be tasked to develop precise cost estimates, assess project plans, and collaborate closely with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring top-quality project delivery within budget. Key Responsibilities
- Generate accurate estimates based on project blueprints, labor needs, material costs, and project timelines.
- Partner with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive bids.
- Prepare detailed reports and present project estimates to internal teams and clients.
- Monitor Austin-area market trends, material costs, and local construction regulations and codes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of construction estimating experience, ideally in heavy civil projects.
- Proficiency with construction estimating software (such as ProEst, PlanSwift) and Excel.
- Solid understanding of Austin-specific construction costs, codes, and market trends.
