Role Overview:
We’re seeking an Associate to join our investment team in our Austin, TX office. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of investment banking experience (preferably in software or broader TMT). This is a high-impact role with direct exposure to deal sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio value creation. You’ll work closely with senior team members including Investment Partners, Operating Advisors, portfolio companies, and founders across the entire investment process.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively source new investment opportunities and build relationships with software founders
- Lead industry and market research, including competitive analysis and thematic sourcing themes
- Conduct financial, business, and market analysis to assess investment potential
- Prepare and maintain robust financial and valuation analyses
- Drive due diligence efforts (e.g., customer calls, financial reviews, market analysis)
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations to make recommendations for our investment committee
- Support portfolio company initiatives alongside our operating partners and senior investment team members
- Contribute to internal strategy and firm-building efforts
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–3 years of experience in investment banking (or similar background), with exposure to software/TMT coverage
- Passion for B2B software, with an ability to empathize with operators and founders
- Strong financial, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Familiarity with the investment deal process, including key stages and areas of commercial diligence
- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, humility, and a strong work ethic
- High integrity, low ego, and team-first mindset
- Desire to live in Austin
