Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and handling, particularly within a restaurant or fine dining environment. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled dishes while ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are met.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meats, vegetables, and other items on the grill according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperatures and presented attractively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding kitchen areas.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service times.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies needed for grilling.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on grilling techniques and kitchen protocols as necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with dietary aide roles or working within a dietary department is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
