Salesforce Higher Education Consultant

Elsmere is headquartered in the Cherry Creek area of Denver and works with select universities around the country on online programs and other growth initiatives. With relationships defined by transparency, Elsmere Education Online Program Enablement offerings, manages the strategy, marketing, recruiting, program development and retention efforts for its partner universities. While Elsmere's Education-Process-as-a-Service (EPaaS) provides a subscription service for institutions to enable their students and staff to achieve strategic goals.

Elsmere Education is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Salesforce Higher Education Consultant to join our growing team. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining Salesforce Education Cloud and Marketing Cloud solutions that address the unique needs of higher education institutions. Reporting to the Vice President of Client Success, the consultant will work cross-functionally with product managers, business analysts, support teams, and developers to deliver innovative, scalable, and high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, configure, test, and deploy high-quality Salesforce based EPaaS solutions that meet the specific needs of higher education institutions and align with industry best practices.
• Leverage Salesforce Education Cloud features and tools while adhering to industry best practices.
• Collaborate with product leadership, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand and refine technical requirements and translate them into actionable implementation tasks.
• Stay updated on the latest Salesforce & Salesforce Education Cloud releases, features, and trends, and proactively recommend improvements to our existing Salesforce ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations, customizations, and overall system performance.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners to integrate external tools and applications with the Salesforce platform.
• Contribute to the evolution of the EPaaS product, processes, and implementation methodologies.
• Share knowledge with team members to improve organizational expertise and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• At least 5 years of hands-on Salesforce development or implementation experience, with a strong focus on EDA, Marketing Cloud, and/or Education Cloud.
• Salesforce Education Cloud Consultant certification required (additional certifications are a plus).
• Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, including Lightning Components, Visualforce, and integration technologies (e.g., APIs, middleware).
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, security model, and best practices.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex Salesforce solutions and integrations.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize competing demands, and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Familiarity with higher education workflows, recruitment, retention, and student lifecycle management.
• Experience with tools like Jira, Asana, or similar project management and time-tracking platforms.

This is not a remote job! Must be located in Denver or Chicago area.

Salary: $115,000-$130,000
