Job Summary
Summary of Functions
The Porters are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the casino and grounds area. Though the housekeeping staff may have specific or general duties for work activities, employees are expected to take initiative to clean or correct problems when encountered.
Accountability
Porter reports directly to the Facilities Lead.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain confidentiality of company and operational information
2. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
3. Maintain the main gaming floor: wiping down slot machines and bases.
4. Maintain the restrooms ensuring they are clean, neat, stocked, and sanitized.
5. Discard garbage and cigarette butts from ashtrays.
6. Responsible for disposing of garbage and recyclables throughout the facility.
7. Maintain the casino parking lot grounds, keeping free of litter and debris, while maintaining the dumpster area.
8. Keep all hand tools in good working condition.
9. Inform the Facilities Lead or Facilities Manager regarding any problems with the operations of equipment for conformance with operating standards.
10. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service orientated manner.
11. Ensures work meets or exceeds productivity standards while effectively managing time.
12. Cleanliness and excellent grooming.
13. Ability to take direction and accept correction from management.
14. Assists in other departments as needed.
15. Attends career development trainings and workshops
16. Directs employee or guest issues and problems to the appropriate Director or Manager
17. Comply at all times with the Elwha River Casino Policies & Procedures.
18. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
· Develop and maintain a positive and effective working relationship with staff and the public.
· Must be 21 years old.
· Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

· Must be dependable
· Must know how to work independently with little supervision
· Must be knowledgeable in the use of cleaning equipment to include: brooms, vacuums, carpet extractors, and floor polishers.
· Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment UA

· Gaming license issued by the Lower Elwha Gaming Commission

Work Environment

Travel Requirements
Local travel is occasionally required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required. Typical travel time is generally less than a week.
