Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems and other monitoring equipment.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the premises.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and any actions taken.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations or emergencies.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on security protocols and procedures.
Skills
- Strong conflict management skills to de-escalate potentially volatile situations effectively.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques to minimize theft and damage.
- Familiarity with law enforcement practices is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in military or security services is a plus.
- Proficient in surveillance techniques, including the use of CCTV systems.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick decisions in emergency situations.

Summary of Functions:
Patrol casino property to maintain order, enforce regulations and ensure observance of applicable laws.
Accountability:
All Security Officers reports directly to the Security Supervisor or Chief of Security
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the safety and security of employees, guests, facilities and grounds.
· Greet guest and provides information and/or direction as requested in a friendly and positive manner,
· Man a post and patrol buildings, grounds, and parking areas to maintain order, enforce regulations, perform regulatory function and ensure compliance with applicable laws and rules.
· Protect facilities from fire, theft, burglary, assault, and other such causes that may threaten the safety and security of the business, property, employees and guests.
· Monitor consumption of alcoholic beverages by persons on the premise.
· Acts to prevent the consumption of alcoholic beverages by persons under the age of 21
· Monitor entry by persons not allowed by policy and barring.
· Confer with management; interview guests, witnesses and employees to investigate disturbances, complaints and accidents.
· Provide regulatory and monetary escorts.
· Respond to medical emergencies and provides first aid when necessary.
· Provide written reports to document actions in a timely manner.
· Respectfully warn or eject disruptive individuals.
· Observe and monitor customer and employee behavior.
· Assist casino guests in and out of personal and commercial vehicles.
· Assist Agents of the Lower Elwha Gaming Commission as required.
· Uphold all barring policies and procedures
· Report all accidents and conditions requiring correction.
· Maintain crowd control during emergent and non-emergent situations.
· Perform traffic control when necessary.
· Assist and monitor evacuation routes.
· Comply with all Company policies and procedures and the Lower Elwha Tribal Gaming Rules.
· Maintain confidentiality requirements at all time.
· Drive shuttle vehicles when needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities.
MinimumQualifications:
· Must be over 21 years’ old
· Must have High school diploma or GED
· Knowledge in written and oral communication
· Ability to work independently with little supervision
· Must be dependable
· Ability to pass background check prior to employment
· Ability to pass a pre-employment UA testing
· Use good customer service skills
· Must be insurable through company insurance program
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:
· Must have WA state driver’s license
· Gaming License is required prior to employment,
Physical Demands:
· Requires frequent standing, repetitive wrist and hand movements, bending, reaching and lifting up to 30 lbs.
· Requires occasional kneeling and/or squatting
· May be force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including a human body
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is regularly subject to outside environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
