What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afternoon Custodian position at ELWOOD HAYNES ELEMENTARY?
Job Site: Elwood Haynes Elementary
Hours/Days: 40 hours per week, 260 days (12 months)
Hourly Rate: $17.02 per hour (shift premium available when applicable)
Benefits: Group insurance programs, PERF, paid leave days
Responsibilities:
Maintain assigned facilities and grounds to insure the health, safety, and security of all occupants. Clean and or sanitize all assigned areas such as classrooms, restrooms, offices, cafeterias, and athletic areas daily. Perform seasonal maintenance: lawn maintenance, seasonal grounds maintenance, floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, furniture cleaning, and other detail work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience and training in maintenance, preferred.
Applicant must be physically able to lift 75 pounds, including but not limited to furniture, educational materials, bagged trash, and supplies. Applicant must be able to follow instructions by reading instructions by supervisors, product labels and training manuals. Applicant must possess a strong work ethic and good attitude. Applicant should be clean and neat in appearance.
