Junior Cost Accountant Details:
- Direct Hire position
- $55,000.00 to $60,000.00 /annually
- Salaried
In this role you would be working alongside the Cost Planning Manager to review the costs of parts made on newly installed machinery and investigate ways to reduce costs
- Utilize existing standardized cost accounting methods and prepare cost accounting analysis and reports that help company identify weak areas that need improvement.
- Perform the cost planning process for new programs. This would include items such as: a series of reviews of cost estimates to determine if target profits are achieved; conduct cost reduction planning meetings with other departments to reduce cost of parts in new programs; attend trials to monitor cost results.
- Complete cost analysis and cost reporting for existing products and processes.
- Identify and drive opportunities to lower the cost of goods manufactured and take a leadership role to implement corrective actions.
- Lead cost planning and cost simulation efforts towards achieving profit goals.
- Track tooling costs and reimbursements for new programs.
- Track ECI costs and reimbursements.
- Ensure product price (prototype through SOP) is entered by sales in a timely manner and is reasonable compared to actual cost.
Junior Cost Accountant Qualifications:
- BS Degree in accounting
- High proficiency in Excel
- Manufacturing experience (preferred)
