Accounts Payable / AP Assistant role at financial services firm in Aliso Viejo. Long term contract / temp, could be potential for permanency. $25 per hour, Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm daily.

First Shift
Performs various procedures to ensure all accounts payable invoices and expense reports are valid and accurately processed. Responsible for monitoring inboxes and taking action to ensure accounts receivables are billed and paid in a timely manner. Ensure accurate processing and use of accounts, cost center coding, vendor approval and corporate credit card. Performs all duties in accordance with all company guidelines and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Reviews and processes vendor invoices, including coding to the correct cost center and ensuring proper authorization; researches and resolves discrepancies.
Reviews and audits employee expense reports, ensuring proper authorization and coding to the correct cost center, supporting receipts, and compliance with company policies.
Assists with vendor approval process.
Researches unusual items to prevent improper payments and communicates with various vendors to research and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Gathers required information for invoice reconciliation.
Maintains professional level of integrity when handling confidential and / or sensitive information.
Maintains consistent attendance to ensure fulfillment of essential duties and responsibilities.
Track, follow-up, and collect accounts receivables such as commissions and utility bills.
Ensure invoice approval deadlines are met.
Monitor inboxes related to accounts payable such as deposits, unable to post and commission queue.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
Accounts Payable Qualifications :
Accounting / AP experience (processing, chart of accounts etc.).
Administrative experience in corporate setting.
Good with numbers.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong interpersonal communication skills – ability to work with members from a diverse set of departments (finance, accounting, clients, and agents)
