Direct Hire position

Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08 : 00am to 05 : 00pm)
Pay : $52,000 a year (Salary)
Hours : 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
Develop and maintain strategic sourcing plan, continuously evaluate and improve supply chain sources.
Issue and maintain purchase orders.
Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure inventory items are available to meet production schedule.
Request quotes from suppliers.
Strategically negotiate pricing and supplier agreements.
Manage inventory forecasting and stock levels.
Work under the general direction of the plant operations manager or business unit management.
Buyer Qualifications :
1-3 years supervisor experience required
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
Effective communication both verbally and written
Experience negotiating and developing strategic supplier agreements
Experience with import logistics
5 years experience in purchasing and supply chain logistics
BA degree preferred but not required
Applicant may be subject to a background check
