Quality Inspector Details :
Direct Hire position
50, to $60, / annually
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07 : 00am to 04 : 00pm)
Ensure all work meets the required quality specifications as defined by customer requirements.
Inspect and document all machining operations and services provided by outside vendors.
Communicate with customers to verify drawing specifications and resolve issues when the Quality Control (QC) Lead is unavailable.
Handle customer interactions regarding rejects and implement corrective actions in the absence of the QC Lead.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, plug gauges, ring gauges, CMMs, comparators, and concentricity gauges, under the direction of the Quality Lead.
Adhere to the company’s quality system to maintain a spoilage rate of no more than 2%.
Manage and maintain gauge calibrations and records, ensuring all gauges meet calibration standards as directed by the Quality Lead.
Perform duties safely and efficiently, complying with all company rules and regulations.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance the quality department’s effectiveness.
Quality Inspector Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent math, statistical analysis and process capability skills.
Excellent communication / written / verbal skills.
Must be proficient in all areas of part inspection : print reading, tool use and calibration.
Experience in quality assurance in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Computer literate.
