Sr. Project Engineer - Corporate Details :
Direct Hire position
125, to $140, / annually
Salaried
Executing capital projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance goals are met or exceeded. This may vary from owning portions of a large project to sole ownership of a project
Ownership of project justification, completing payback analysis, and authoring requests for capital funds
Developing preliminary concepts, budgetary capital estimates, and timelines for new products, projects, and improvements
Assisting in and / or developing vendor bid packages and final vendor selection for purchased parts and services in collaboration with procurement team
Periodically providing status updates on project progress and issues
Investigating manufacturing problems in the plants and recommending corrective actions. This includes consulting with production personnel, analyzing the supporting data, recommending corrective actions, and following through on recommendations to evaluate their effectiveness
Drives achievement of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of assigned projects
Coordinating training and start-up activities of new equipment and processes
Manage capital, labor, parts, contracted services and expense budgets
Replacing / adding production capabilities by adding or modifying equipment
Establishing equipment SOP's and maintenance practices to place assets in a precision state
Modifying equipment and processes to automate manual tasks to improve capacity and / or reduce cost
Completing IQ / OQ / PQ process for new equipment installations when necessary.
Sr. Project Engineer - Corporate Qualifications :
Basic understanding of engineering principals - knowledge of engineering disciplines : Process, Packaging, Electrical, Mechanical and Automation
5 years of project management experience
Able to work collaboratively with other functional groups
Ability to take ownership of projects, to work independently and make autonomous decisions when necessary Understanding design for reliability and total cost of ownership principals
Experience with AutoCAD and PLC Programming is desirable
