What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Project Manager (Expert) position at Elyon International?
IT Project Manager Resources monitors and manage technology projects using industry standard projects and process management techniques. IT Project Managers use standardized project management principles based on the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). This includes creating project estimates, reporting, resource, and capacity planning. Additionally, IT Project Managers recommend and guide the integration of new technology, depending on the scope of the project, and communicate key project information (i.e. issues, risks, changes, accomplishments) to stakeholders. IT Project Managers must have solid knowledge of and experience with the specific technology they are managing, based on customer needs. IT Project Managers demonstrate ongoing industry’s best practices, techniques, and standards.
EXPERIENCE (MANDATORY):
- Tracking a project’s performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Creating and maintaining detailed documentation and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
- Creating detailed project plans and schedules.
- Performing quality control on a project throughout development to maintain expected standards.
- Utilization of industry Project Management software and tools.
QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED):
- Certifications from a recognized certification institution in the pertinent technology field that reflects and demonstrates a mastery of the subject matter. Such certifications as (but not limited to): Project Management Professional (PMP), Project Manager Agile Certified Practitioner (Project Manager-ACP), Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM), Program Management Professional (PgMP), etc.

EDUCATION (MANDATORY)
- A minimum of ten 10 years of professional project or program management experience.
- Formal education in Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field can be substituted for the following years of experience:
- Associate’s Degree – 1 year
- Bachelor’s Degree – 2 years
- Master’s Degree - 3 years
LOCATION (REMOTE)
- Most work is done remotely. However, certain Work Orders may require the Resource to work on-site at 810 Jefferson Street SE, Olympia WA.
