AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNICIAN- All Levels

Elyria Hyundai is searching for Automotive Service Technicians to join our beautiful facility. Our dealership has undergone a state of the art remodel and expansion resulting in a 50% increase in capacity. Our air conditioned and revamped shop is waiting for you. Each tech has their own computer station. We are experiencing back to back record years!!!

Applicants should have general knowledge of automotive repairs, and experience servicing different makes and models. Must poses a neat and clean appearance, have excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to excel in a fast pace environment. Basic computer skills and Hyundai experience a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Road Testing vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification
• Using diagnostic equipment and special service tools to test vehicle components
• Performing maintenance & repair services in a productive and efficient manner, under warranty and manufacturer’s guidelines, including components such as engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, and air conditioning
• Providing the Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least 2 years of experience as an auto technician
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• A fast learner with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail, making sure customer vehicles are kept clean and treated with respect
• Must be a helpful team player
• Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work station

Skills/Qualifications

• General knowledge of automobiles
• Ability to analyze and identify problems quickly
• Good Communication and basic Computer skills
• Good Mathematical and Reading skills
• Ability to learn new technology
• Ability to learn new Service techniques and procedures

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
