We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and customer-oriented Part-Time Assistant Retail Store Manager for our small, metaphysical retail store. This individual will assist the store owner in daily operations, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for customers. Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with a warm, welcoming attitude.
- Help customers explore metaphysical products, including crystals, tarot cards, essential oils, and more, offering knowledgeable recommendations.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
- Store Operations:
- Open and close the store, following all security and operational procedures.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked, ensuring a visually appealing shopping experience.
- Assist with creating and maintaining product displays that highlight new or seasonal items.
- Administrative Support:
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and schedule appointments for workshops, readings, or other in-store services.
- Handle appointment bookings and ensure that customers are reminded of their scheduled times.
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as inventory tracking, filing, and data entry.
- Money Handling & Transactions:
- Operate the cash register, process payments, and ensure accurate cash handling and transactions.
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Prepare deposits and handle financial transactions with precision and care.
- Metaphysical Knowledge & Learning:
- Bring your passion for metaphysical subjects, such as astrology, energy healing, crystals, and spiritual practices, into your interactions with customers.
- Stay curious and continuously learn about new metaphysical products and practices to better assist customers.
- Help create a positive and educational environment by sharing knowledge and recommending products that align with customers' spiritual journeys.
- Trustworthiness & Dependability:
- Act with honesty and integrity when handling money, sensitive customer information, and store operations.
- Be punctual and reliable, ensuring smooth operations during your shifts.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, especially in a metaphysical or wellness-related environment.
- Genuine interest in metaphysical topics and practices, with a willingness to learn more.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Comfortable handling money and managing cash transactions accurately.
