Monmouth Program:
- Saturday: 9am-10pm
- Sunday: 8am-8pm

Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs. This position focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients by promoting independence, dignity, and personal growth. The DSP will work closely with clients in various settings, including residential homes and community environments, ensuring their safety and well-being while fostering a supportive atmosphere.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Observe and document client behaviors and progress, reporting any significant changes to supervisors.
- Administer medications as prescribed while following HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality.
- Support clients in participating in recreational and community activities to promote social engagement.
- Assist with heavy lifting as necessary to support clients with mobility challenges.
- Provide first aid when required and ensure that emergency protocols are followed.
Skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality.
- Experience in direct support or caregiving roles is preferred.
- Proficiency in meal preparation techniques suitable for various dietary needs.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic living environment for clients.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or similar setting is advantageous.
- Basic first aid certification is beneficial for ensuring client safety.
- Ability to observe patients effectively, noting changes in behavior or health status.
- Capability to assist with heavy lifting tasks related to client mobility needs.
- Experience in senior care can enhance understanding of the unique needs of elderly clients.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
