Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Pain Management Physician to join our multidisciplinary team at a well-established pain management clinic in Tampa, Florida. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, focusing on both medication management and interventional procedures. The role is part-time with the potential to expand to full-time, offering flexibility and a balanced work-life structure.

Position Overview:

• Location: Tampa, Florida
• Schedule: 2 days a week, with potential to expand to more days.
• Role: Pain Management Physician
• Compensation: $1,300 per day
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Medication Management: Develop personalized treatment plans involving pharmacologic therapies for patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Interventional Procedures: Perform a variety of interventional pain management techniques, such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, and spinal cord stimulators.
• Comprehensive Patient Care: Provide thorough assessments and create tailored treatment plans combining both interventional and non-interventional approaches.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to offer holistic care for pain management patients.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient care records and document treatment outcomes.
• Continuous Learning: Stay current on advances in pain management techniques and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications: To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• Grandfathered status to practice pain management in Florida, OR
• Pain Management Certification Requirements:
• Board Certification by a specialty board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) with a subspecialty in Pain Medicine.
• Board Certification in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Pain Medicine (ABPM).
• Completion of a Pain Medicine Fellowship accredited by ACGME, or a Pain Medicine Residency accredited by ACGME.
• Completion of a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Anesthesiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, or Psychiatry.
• Sub-specialty certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine or Geriatric Medicine by ABMS.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven Expertise in pain management, including both medication management and interventional techniques.
• Clinical Experience in a setting focused on chronic pain management.
• Strong Communication Skills with an emphasis on compassionate patient care.
• Team-Oriented Approach: Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Active Florida Medical License that is unrestricted.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Guidelines surrounding pain management and controlled substances.
