Duties
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Utilize oftware to create detailed estimates and manage bid proposals.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimate.
- Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible rates while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints and implement cost control measures as needed.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on estimated costs, including breakdowns of materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to bidding processes.
