Job Overview : EM Structural is looking for a Project Engineer I who wants to be part of a growing team of engineers, works well on a team, and is self-motivated. As a Project Engineer I, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of engineering projects from inception to completion. Working closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of project tasks to ensure adherence to project goals, schedules, and budgets. Project Planning : Assisting in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets by conducting research, analyzing project requirements, and identifying key milestones and deliverables.
Technical Support : Providing technical expertise and support to project teams by conducting engineering calculations, preparing design drawings, and reviewing technical specifications.
Documentation : Generating and maintaining project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and change orders, to ensure clear communication and documentation of project activities and decisions.
Coordination : Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to facilitate project coordination and resolve technical issues on time.
Quality Assurance : Implementing quality assurance procedures and conducting quality checks to ensure that project deliverables meet established standards and specifications.
Risk Management : Identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other potential issues.
Safety Compliance : Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations by monitoring project activities and implementing appropriate safety measures on-site.
Client Communication : Maintaining regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
Responsibilities :
- Perform calculations based on engineering principles and building code requirements.
- Utilize a variety of engineering software packages in computer-aided design.
- Assist in the production of project documents for client submissions.
- Attended on-site project meetings and inspections for projects during construction.
- Prepare formal written reports for clients summarizing on-site observations.
