Part time Counter Service Team members at Emack & Bolio’s Ice cream store in Long Island City. Sadly nobody eats ice cream for breakfast, so evening shifts and weekends are required.
About the job:
We are looking for someone (or a few someones) to assist in the operations of the ice cream store and perform a variety of duties including scooping ice cream, handling cash, making specialty cones and ice cream cakes, cleaning, and maintaining excellent customer service. Food Protection Certificate a plus and will need to have after 5 months upon hiring.
Counter Service Team members requirements: Strong mathematics skills, comfortable handling money, excellent verbal communication, energetic.
Physical aspects of the job include; oversize merchandise handling, bulk containers of ice cream weighing up to 50 pounds, supply orders, general cleaning and maintenance, and standing for up to 8 hours per day.
Store is open 7 days per week, mostly evening hours; individual must be willing to work nights, weekends, extended hours and holidays. Typical end time 11:15pm- midnight. These are seasonal and non seasonal positions, however, exceptional team members will be asked to stay on after the Fall season.
Job Type: Part-time, but full-time available for the right employee
Pay: $15.00 per hour plus tips. Credit Card tips average $1 to $5 per hour on top of hourly wage.
