Islamic Studies Teacher

Position: Islamic Studies Teacher Location: Eman Schools, Fishers, Indiana

Eman Schools, a reputable educational institution committed to providing a comprehensive and balanced education, is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to join our team as an Islamic Studies Teacher. As an Islamic Studies Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing the spiritual growth and development of our students while imparting a deep understanding of Islamic principles, teachings, and values.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development: Design and develop an engaging and comprehensive Islamic Studies curriculum aligned with relevant educational standards.
Select appropriate teaching materials, resources, and supplementary materials to enhance student learning experiences.

Classroom Instruction: Plan and deliver lessons that effectively convey Islamic teachings, ethics, values, and practices to students of different age groups.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional strategies to engage students in active learning.
Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where students feel comfortable discussing and exploring Islamic concepts.

Assessments and Evaluation: Develop appropriate assessment tools and strategies to evaluate students' understanding of Islamic Studies.
Provide constructive feedback to students and their parents regarding their academic progress and areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of student assessments, attendance, and grades.

Student Guidance and Mentorship: Act as a mentor and guide for students, promoting moral and ethical development through Islamic teachings.
Encourage students to develop a strong connection with Allah SWT, fostering their love for Islam and a commitment to virtuous behavior.
Address individual student needs and concerns, providing guidance and support when necessary.

Collaboration and Professional Development: Collaborate with other Islamic Studies teachers and faculty members to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.
Participate in professional development activities and stay updated on the latest research, pedagogical approaches, and advancements in Islamic studies education.
Engage in continuous self-improvement, reflecting on teaching practices and seeking opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Islamic Studies, Islamic Education, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles, teachings, and practices.
• Proficiency in classical and contemporary Islamic texts and sources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
• Previous teaching experience in Islamic Studies or related subjects is preferred.
• Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools is advantageous.
