Job Summary
Provides direct supervision to the Care Coordination staff in the areas of Utilization Management and Discharge Planning. Manages denial of services notifications, departmental Performance Improvement Program, denial statistics and appeals. Promotes organizational interdisciplinary collaboration.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
Bachelors degree in nursing or in a related field preferred.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
Two years recent acute clinical experience. Experience with discharge planning, utilization management and criteria sets preferred. Effective written, verbal and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as establish relationships and function within a team. Knowledge of medical information systems. Ability to use a computer and make notations. Excellent customer service skills required.
Minimum License Requirement:
Current California R.N. license. Maintains BLS certification.
