Job Summary
Answers incoming calls. Screens calls and transfers to staff if needed. Listens to voicemails and communicates information between doctors, families, insurance companies, and directors / managers. Reviews incoming faxes and printed orders. Scans and documents authorizations and denials received and notifies staff accordingly. Transports medication for patients from pharmacy. Orders and manages office supplies. Manages the mail. Works with staff to coordinate recognition or celebration. Assists with PASRR and Livanta follow up.
Job Requirements
a. Minimum Education Requirement :
High School or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills preferred.
b. Minimum Experience Requirement :
Office or hospital experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
c. Minimum License Requirement :
Unit Secretary Certification preferred. BLS required.
