As the Director, Transaction Advisory Services and Financial Due Diligence, you will discover and unlock opportunities around key value drivers for our clients, as you lead the financial due diligence process and undertake all that it entails. Detailed Responsibilities
- Leads the TAS function through due diligence, quality of earnings, and other transaction advisory related services to support Embarc clients that are looking at growing through acquisitions or preparing for sale.
- Provides strong leadership in the recruitment, training and development of top-quality talent, ensuring a high level of performance and productivity. Builds morale, motivates and instills productivity and teamwork, creates and promotes a positive and supportive work environment.
- Supports business development efforts by identifying and pursuing leads, building relationships through conferences and networking events, negotiating and securing engagement agreements, and uncovering opportunities to cross-sell services such as M&A Advisory, CFO services, and Strategic Finance.
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with client leadership and key staff. Identifies opportunities where Embarc's financial and strategic services (e.g., capital raising, M&A, and strategic finance) may accelerate the client's strategic plan and align with their key business objectives. Acts as a thought leader and trusted advisor to client's key leadership.
- Leads the end-to-end project management, work plan development, process, and project execution. Manages current Embarc contractors, future team members, and client teams to deliver project goals in a timely and resource efficient manner. Effectively communicates across all stakeholders. Drive optimal outcomes for all stakeholders, while meeting and/or exceeding client expectations.
- Develops and prepares audience-appropriate materials, including quality of earnings databooks and financial due diligence reports etc.
- Analyzes financial/operational results of targets through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management.
- Spearheads complex strategic analysis, quantitative analysis, and robust financial modeling to produce meaningful insights that address clients' challenges and needs.
- Translates complex strategic and financial analysis into insightful reports, key take-aways, and presentations for clients and key stakeholders which facilitate robust discussions, provide quantification and articulation of financial and strategic impact, and support the decision-making process.
- Identifies post-acquisition action steps to achieve anticipated earnings/cash flow improvements.
- Evaluates effects of seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirements.
- Performs industry and company research to keep Embarc and its' clients informed of any market insights.
- Creates and designs tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, financial reporting, working capital trends, and indebtedness considerations.
- Leads the cross-functional management of projects from end to end; communicates recommendations and drives outcomes with various stakeholders.

Qualifications
We are looking to hire an experienced TAS leader who has a bachelor's degree and 7 years of increasingly complex experience in Transaction Advisory Services from within a mid to large sized professional services firm (Big 4 is a plus!). Previous leadership experience is required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience overseeing and running TAS/FDD projects applying best-in-class practices
- Deep expertise in quality of earnings analysis and financial due diligence
- Track record of successfully leading TAS/FDD teams including recruiting, training, project management
- Demonstrated experience in business development, including lead generation, relationship building at conferences and networking events, negotiating engagement agreements, and identifying cross-selling opportunities for additional services.
- Exceptional analytical skills, including advanced financial modeling and financial / accounting analysis, etc.
- Ability to interpret the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis and develop insights and recommendations.
- Ability to lead multiple engagements simultaneously, using well developed project management skills
- Mature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quickly
- Demonstrated strengths with financial accounting, capital markets, and M&A concepts.
- Demonstrated success with cultivating strong relationships with clients, executives and boards
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external cross-functional teams, collaborating effectively to successfully drive TAS/FDD processes
- Proven success with independently developing presentations and other communication materials executive leadership, external partners, and the Board of Advisors
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated excellence with presenting to diverse stakeholders (including C-Suite, Board of Advisors, and external targets), and aligning them around a common goal, despite competing interests
- Proven ability to maintain excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated success with building and improving processes and promoting quality
- Experience working with start-up organizations a plus
