Cook - San Martin, CA (Just outside of San Jose)
Pay Range: $24.00 - $26.00 an hour (DOE)
Shift: 9am - 5pm; Tuesday - Saturday
Location: 1470 E. Middle Ave, San Martin CA, 95046
Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a Kitchen Manager to provide healthy and nutritious meals to our students. As the Kitchen Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to prepare quality food, create a home like atmosphere, while fostering trusting relationships with our students and team.
Responsibilities
- Manages One Kitchens and performs Chef responsibilities
- Assists in preparations of lunch and dinner.
- Purchases and stocks groceries, manages inventories.
- Travels between homes delivering food.
- Engages with students in a healthy and professional manner.
- Assist in ensuring all breakfast food is organized and ready for staff to serve each morning.
- Aid in food preparation for weekend meals to ensure everything is ready for staff to prepare.
- Work with the other Kitchen staff on the overall cleanliness, orderliness and safety of the kitchen.
- Help create a meaningful dining experience for our students.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED and provide copy
- Food Handlers permit
- Knowledge of sanitation
- Experience preparing food for large groups
- 2 years sous chef experience.
- Experience in residential setting preferred.
- Culinary schooling preferred.
- Must have the ability to create positive relationships
- Must be able to pass State and Federal background check
