About the Internship
Embark Behavioral Health Bend is seeking passionate graduate-level clinical interns to join our team. This internship offers direct, hands-on clinical experience working with youth (ages 10–14) in a residential treatment setting. Interns receive supervision and training in:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
working with youth with diagnoses such as mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, etc
Family systems work
Crisis intervention- CPI training
Recreational therapy
Interns work within a collaborative clinical team of 4 full-time clinicians and 1–2 interns, with opportunities for co-therapy and peer consultation.

Internship Details
📅 Start Dates: Rolling (based on academic calendar)📍 Location: Bend, Oregon (on-site)🕒 Schedule: Flexible, 16–24 hrs/week (based on academic needs)💸 Compensation: Unpaid – for academic credit
Responsibilities
✔ Conduct individual, group, and family therapy✔ Lead multiple weekly group sessions✔ Complete clinical documentation (notes, assessments, treatment plans)✔ Participate in treatment team meetings✔ Perform diagnostic assessments✔ Support family communication and discharge planning✔ Co-lead family workshops (as needed)
Qualifications
✅ Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Counseling, MFT, Social Work, or related)✅ Preferably in 2nd year of program✅ Prior experience working with youth✅ Strong interest in working with ages 10–14✅ Able to pass background check & drug screening✅ 2–3 professional or academic references
