As a Therapist at Ashburn you will:
- Work on a team that support one another and has a passion for creating positive change.
- Experience professional growth through clinical supervision and sit on a consultation group
- Become an expert in the use of DBT or refine your proficiency in DBT.
- Be part of the team who is striving to bring adolescent depression, anxiety, and suicide to all-time lows by 2028.

Responsibilities
- Embrace a collaborative team approach with weekly 1:1s, group supervision, and treatment team meetings.
- Plan, implement, and adjust individualized treatment courses, ensuring client-centered care.
- Conduct family, group, and 1:1 therapy sessions, driving therapeutic progress with evidence-based practices.
- Maintain regular communication with families, providing parent coaching and support.
- Maintain meticulous documentation, adhere to treatment standards, and oversee program completion and discharge plans.
- Contribute to program goals by implementing and meeting outcomes testing and standards.
- Oversee program completion and discharge requirements, developing comprehensive discharge plans and reviewing them with students and their families.
- Ensure compliance with state laws on documentation, reporting, confidentiality, and working with government agencies.
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a results-driven, empathetic approach.
Qualifications
What do you bring to this position (Qualifications)?
- Minimum: Master's degree in behavioral sciences, including Social Work (MSW), Clinical Social Work (CSW), Clinical Mental Counseling (CMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or a related discipline.
- Preferred: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in VA. May accept Residents in Counseling or Supervisees in Social Work.
- Preferred: Experience in an outpatient (IOP/PHP) setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
- Required: One year of working experience as a practicing clinician leading individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions.
- Preferred: One year of experience using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
- A genuine passion for counseling teens and young adults.
- Strong clinical skills and a steadfast commitment to evidence-based practices.
- Proficiency in incorporating clinical diagnostic and assessment instruments to monitor client progress and treatment outcomes.
