Chrysalis Therapeutic Boarding School is dedicated to empowering young women through a holistic approach that integrates academics, therapeutic support, and life skills development. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team and contribute to our mission of fostering growth and resilience in our students.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage IEPs and 504 plans, ensuring compliance and individualized support for students.
- Develop, implement, and update academic plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Conduct student observations to assess progress and identify areas for intervention.
- Teach courses and other content areas as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, clinicians, and direct care staff to provide a cohesive educational and therapeutic experience.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning styles and special education requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation and provide updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Required: Montana Class 1 or Class 2 Teaching License with a Special Education Endorsement
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a teaching degree OR a Master’s degree in Special Education.
- Proven experience in teaching and managing IEPs/504 plans preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must pass federal and state background check
- Must pass drug screening
- Active State of Montana Driver's license
